5. LEGACY

In 1979, Bronius Krikštopaitis’s book of memoirs, “By Sea Routes: Memoirs of a Sea Captain” (in Lithuanian “Jūrų keliais. Jūrų kapitono atsiminimai”), was published.

...to the best of our abilities, to restore that brightest phase of the period of independent Lithuania, when we, proudly hoisting our tricolour, navigated the seas on our own ships and made Lithuania known in the ports of foreign nations.
